The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong client-facing communication skills and a disciplined project delivery mindset. You should be comfortable working across architecture review, implementation planning, cutover execution, and post-go-live support in structured services engagements. This aligns with the kind of work outlined in the Infoblox services document, including technical workshops, migration planning, maintenance window execution, issue remediation, customer coordination, and clearly defined out-of-scope boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, migration, upgrade, and optimization of enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platforms.

  • Conduct discovery and technical workshops to gather current-state information, review architecture, identify dependencies, and define implementation or migration strategy.

  • Develop deployment plans, cutover plans, validation checklists, and operational runbooks.

  • Execute or guide implementation activities during scheduled maintenance windows.

  • Support production cutovers, validate service stability, and assist with troubleshooting critical and high-priority issues after go-live.

  • Work closely with customer technical teams including network, security, infrastructure, desktop, and application stakeholders.

  • Provide technical leadership on best practices for DDI design, resiliency, high availability, delegated administration, and service continuity.

  • Collaborate with project managers and customer leads to track risks, issues, milestones, and dependencies.

  • Provide status updates, technical documentation, and implementation summaries throughout the engagement.

  • Define scope clearly and identify when changes require a formal change order or expanded services effort.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.

  • Strong experience with one or more major DDI platforms, preferably Infoblox.

  • Proven experience with:

    • DDI migrations

    • Troubleshooting enterprise DNS and DHCP issues

  • Strong understanding of:

    • DNS architecture and operations

    • DHCP scopes, failover, and lease management

    • IPAM data integrity and operational processes

    • Network fundamentals, routing, VLANs, NAT, firewalls, and high availability

  • Experience producing technical runbooks, implementation plans, and validation documentation.

  • Ability to work directly with customers in a consulting or professional services capacity.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Infoblox NIOS administration, migration, and grid architecture.

  • Experience with DNS security, RPZ, DNS logging, and DDI-related automation.

  • Familiarity with change management and structured project delivery practices.

  • Experience in large enterprise or multi-site environments.

  • Scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or REST APIs.

  • Relevant vendor certifications or equivalent field experience.
